Our Mission
Our mission is to improve the lives of others by providing educators and learners with a website they can use to teach and learn problem-solving and critical thinking skills. We are accomplishing this with the Applied Learning Platform that educators can use to cost-effectively create and deliver interactive applied learning activities such as case studies, focused scenarios, and learning exercises. Learners use the website to work through these activities, which provides evidence of their developing expertise.
Our unwavering commitment to maximizing the resources of educational systems is demonstrated by our word processing document-based delivery mechanism that enables learning activities to be easily authored, adapted, and shared among colleagues, school districts, and institutions.
Our success is achieved when learners and educators use our website to visually portray their understanding and can say to one another, “I see what you mean.”

NARRATIVE
I earned my Master of Social Work degree with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Counseling from The University of Iowa School of Social Work, and am licensed at the LMSW level. I also have a PhD in veterinary informatics and a DVM degree.
I am currently developing the Applied Learning Platform, which is educational software that focuses on evidence-based assessment and critical thinking. I also provide personal and business consulting.
I have practiced as a veterinarian with an emphasis in small animal medicine and surgery, and have owned two veterinary hospitals in Virginia Beach Virginia. I have taught in the business/practice management curriculum at the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine and at the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech. While at Virginia Tech, I coordinated a student-run virtual corporation in which students developed software as part of an interdisciplinary learning experience.
